For African American women, our systems of oppression have contributed to multiple experiences of oppression and discrimination and racism. For example, if you're going to refer them to an agency, it's a possibility that they may get discriminated against because of intersecting identities. And these are real things that we have to understand why Black women as such at risk for domestic violence when it comes to systemic oppression and racism.
