She wasn't a strong woman, but she still went on this 35 thousand mile transglobe expedition. Had to take a hot water bottle to the arctic because ranulph liked sleeping with the windows open. And sometimes when they were over wintering, this is at the other end of the planet, on the antarctic. She wouldn't answer the radio. Twice ranulph came back to the cardboard hut and found that she was unconscious from carbon monoxide poisoning. But yet, there were just so many moments of near total peril and failure on this expedition, and she took it all pretty well, didn't she?
