Sig heker was the former head of america's nuclear weapons laboratory. He visited semi palatinsk, a site contaminated by years of nuclear explosions. Hundreds of nuclear experiments had been carried out there on the kassak step. More than a hundred kilograms of plutonium was left behind at the test site. That was enough plutonium for several nuclear weapons. It is one of the most desolate and saddest places that i have ever been to.
