The Importance of Taking Taiwan
There's not a value added in taking Thailand. Are you talking about Taiwan? If you meet Taiwan, then I don't think China is going to try anytime soon to take Taiwan. They just need to wear them down so that Taiwan joins voluntarily. Turn the Taiwanese into a Chamberlain or Trump or anybody who would compromise or cut a deal or do anything not to go to war. There is real potential for that. As the West gets weaker not militarily but ideologically, as the West projects less strength, Taiwan might look more towards China than towards the West.
