Why Women Aren't Funny

i like the argument that one of the reasons why this thing my existing culture that women are not funny is that i like this idea that being funny is close to being clever and that cleverness can be seen as a threat so therefore there's a function saying that women can't possibly be as funny as men. Miriam Margulis says she finds Simone de Beauvoir hilarious because she constantly makes jokes about pissing and farting, shitting and f****** stuff. She also points out that in certain cultural historical context women aren't supposed to display their cleverness then they're not supposed to be funny. The show airs tonight at 10pm on Channel 4.
