The military service comes up with every president, you know, did you serve? Yes or no. And with bill clayton, with george bush, with dan quail, with dick chaney, none of them ever broke any draft laws. But all of them have sort of evaded combat, like the hard cordness o f the military. How good of a leader can you be if you've never seen combat or never served your country? Now, and this was a big question even at the time. Is it cretan's clear water revival song, fortunate son? Or is it join that idea that people who had connections didn't have to serve?"
