Antiochus and the New Academy
Cicero says that for him, the Stoics were basically just following Plato and Aristotle. By contrast, Antiochus sees differences between Platonism, Aristotelianism, and Stoicism as relatively minor. In his own works, Cicero adopts the quintessentially skeptical practice of exploring arguments from all the philosophical schools.
