What Are Short Chain Fatty Acids?
Short-chain fatty acids have fewer than six carbons. They're predominantly found in the gut, you know, of humans and animals after fermenting things like fiber. The ones that most people throw around are acetate, propionate, and butyrate or they talk about them in their acid forms - acetic acid, butyric acid.
