Caloric Intake and Exercise

• Vinnie has always said that exercise is a poor way to lose weight. (33:00)
• A huge study that was just released used DLW (Doubly Labeled Water) methods to measure metabolism.
• Calories matter, but it's not the only thing to consider.
• Exercise is for longevity! (40:00)
• Your body compensates for increased activity by reducing energy used for other things, like fighting inflammation, stress response, etc. (41:00)
• The good thing about high fat and higher protein is that you feel full longer; however, you can not eat high *anything* without impunity. (44:30)
• Diet overall, especially from processed foods, increased body weight by 10 times! (46:00)
• Or another way of putting it: what goes into the body impacts your weight 10x more than how active you are.
