The Differences Between Russia and Ukraine
It's common to read pieces that Russia is failing due to its own fatal flaws or the way it's conducting this military affairs, as opposed to being because of Ukrainian successes. I'm interested to him a little bit more about that. It doesn't help that we have a lot of people who are ultimately just Russianists who talk about Ukraine without any real knowledge of Ukraine, and in many ways that it's different. The invasion failed so spectacularly - they didn't account for Ukrainian agency. There will be some element where Russia is forced to stop and then is unable, through deterrence, to act further on its sort of imperial designs on Ukraine. That's how the war stops.
