Is There Such a Thing as Human Centric Design?
I've been thinking and talking a lot about with my students, with colleagues about this idea of human centered design. One of the things I've been saying is that maybe there's no such thing as humancentered design. It's really how to make something as easy as possible for the user in service of buying a product. The second part of that is that does human centered design overlook all the more than human aspects? Should we actually be thinking about ecology centered design, for example, or climate centered design or multi-generational centered design or something?
