The ATF's Rule of Levity on the Bump Stock Ban
The Fifth Circuit ruled last week that the ATF doesn't have any jurisdiction to make up laws. The ruling relied on something called the rule of wenity, which means if it's not clear to the government what the law says, no one can be charged with a crime. "Every time I filed taxes, I'm just going to say rule of levity over and over again," he said.
