Emigrants and the Cholera Epidemic

The unsanitary conditions along the trail, perfect breeding ground for cholera. People died from aide gunshots, slipping under wagons, unruly oxen, drowning, medical complications. If imigrants ran out of supplies, couldn't hunt or forage, they also face starvation. Emigrants also had to face thunderstorms and ahail, one sometimes big enough to sometimes kill people and animals. Lightning, tornadoes, destructive winds. The intense heat of the deserts along the trail made some of the wagon wheels shrink.
