I feel like the dead drilling approach, where your opponent is just giving no resistance, and you're just asking someone to bang off a bunch of rips has extraordinarily limited usefulness. It's only useful up to the point where it starts to move into a person's muscle memory. I think at that point, getting them to do a few dozen reps just to get comfortable with the movement is helpful. But as soon as possible, i think you want to start migrating them into a situation where now their opponent is starting to show them how a real human would pond. Ye, for sure. So much of jugitso is not just, and this is a mistake i made for years too.
