"I always tell people that my most valuable class at Vanderbilt, despite the fact that I was an economics major and graduated with honors was baseball," he says. "Being baseball taught me group psychology, it taught me primal psychology,. It taught me the way people think in an ethical fashion." He moved to Hong Kong in 2010 when he was just turning 24 years old; worked for a conspiracy theorist hedge fund manager before returning to Silicon Valley as director of business development at local San Francisco based exchange. In 2017, when the crypto market started taking off, he decided he wanted to bet on that space but didn't make any money.
