The Role of the Intervener in the Court of Human Rights
The key is to bring something to the appeal that the parties aren't going to bring themselves. The Supreme Court may well find that evidential, practical experience of real value in understanding the context for the appeal. It may be that there's jurisprudence from abroad that the parties haven't focused on very much, but the intervener may wish to focus on.
