Is Good Architecture a Moral Force?

The way a building might seem to promise to make your life go better. But there's also a sense of the potential moral force of buildings. I think that proposal that form should follow a function has been one of the great red herrings of modernist architecture. Good architecture is a suggestion about good behavior, but nothing more nor less than that.
