The Origins of the 14th Amendment

Originalism is really simple. The meaning of the constitution should remain the same until it's properly changed by amendment. Most americans have never heard of the fourteenth amendment. If ar all the lawsuits that you've ever heard of being brought against the states on the grounds of violation of first amendment freedom of speech, or second amendment right to keep bare arms,. Those lawsuits are all fourteenth amendment lawsuits. That's what the public doesn't realize.
