The Book of Daniel, Chapter One
Daniel was noted for his ability in interpreting dreams and visions. This skill seems to be something that daniel had a recognized skill in, even before the events of chapter two. Chapter two begins a section of the book that runs up to chapter seven. We might observe, as many commentators have, a chastic symmetry in these chapters. Chapters two and seven deal with four empires. The first the vision of the great statue, and the second the dream of the four beasts.
