The Hunting Plane
The plane is designed so that the wind being pushed back from the propellers goes over the wings. So if they kill the engines, there's not going to be any more lift and they're not able to take off again. In our movie version, one of the hunters, John Malkovich has a feud with the pilot. He's trying to kill him. Yeah, it's a subplot, but it still adds added drama.
