The Moral Panic of Social Media

It's just so weird to me how these yeah these moral panics will just sweep through society and then just fizzle out. It seems really rare that anyone ever says oh I was wrong maybe we should learn from this experience sir you know can't believe we did that. The panic wasn't as bad as perhaps it might be today because there was no internet at times so you couldn't hatch fire. There was kind of more local fires than national fires sweeping the nation a result of people jumping on the bandwagon in social media.
