The Effects of Pressure on the Magma
The makeup of the magma varies a lot based on what is in it. And so when this magma has an opportunity to rise up a little bit and move into an area of less pressure, as it's closer to the crust, there's less pressure on it. The gas starts to have the ability to come out of solution. These gas atoms and molecules can start finding each other and creating larger and larger bubbles of gas together,. sort of fighting being held captive in the magma.
