In most cases, you won't have a neuron that's just sitting on its own. They will be clustered together in a nerve. The median nerve is going to try to speed that signal up for you. And so what it does, just like you see with a power cord, you don't have the power cord coming out of your power socket that's just exposed copper-wise. Right? So do we insulate our neurons, Matthew? We use mylon. That's just fat. We just wrap it up with fat. Yeah. In the peripheral nervous system, that is what we call a swan cell. Which always reminds me of the Adam Sandler, Billy Madison.
In this episode, Dr Matt and Dr Mike discuss how the nervous system allows us to walk, talk, smell, taste, hear, and feel!
This episode is about the electrical and chemical signals that the body sends called action potentials!
