The Dead Marcher, a Poem About a Dead Mother
i've had a fascinating few days rereading all andrew's poems. And of course, you know, e was writing about all sorts of other things at the same time but there's er other themes, motifs, preoccupations keep emerging. So as to half way through this story, the poem dead march er, in which your addressing the subject, adi, think this must say something about why ther, the subject has had such a sort of tenacious hold on you. I'm impertinently going to read it inonothy the author. The first stanza is a sort of imaginary dialogue between the poet and the dead mother. It's 20 years.
