Welcome to the first edition of five minutes in church history. We are dipping back into the archives and airing the very first episode on our good friend augustine. I'm struck by the very first word in augustine's classic book,. The word usually gets translated great, but a recent translation has the word as vast - magnus. And augustine uses it to refer to god. This is why we need church history. It reminds us what matters most.
