The Role of Bayesian Persuasion in Information Design

The terms Bayesian Persuasion and information design are used almost interchangeably. When the person who's designing information would think of explicitly as a player in the game whose objectives might not align may think of some kind of social objective function. Information design tends to be used more commonly if we are thinking about sort of more a social planner perspective. We'll see some examples of how information can be updated, optimized in a process later but before that I'd just like to introduce one term I've already mentioned in the introduction in a term that you have created, the term BayesianPersuasion.
