The Importance of Keeping Connected to History
In his biography of Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Kissinger says it's important for people to keep connected to history. In that detachment from history and historical knowledge, the beginning of a sort of capitalist man why? Just, nothing really matters, because you are no longer beholden to anything of youno value, or authenticity, or lineage or heritage, right? And you have no stake in it either. Because youre live. Your decisions are made for you by the limited choices that are made available to you by the capitalists,. The disappearance of counter forces, institutionally culturaly, to show you another way is not recipe for human holiness.
