Theory: Big business was actually concerned about a populist uprising to complain about their profits. So they pulled out wokeness, which they use as a shield and a sword that we're doing all this good stuff. Wokeness has been able to divide us since 2008 to no end. And I'm not sure I understand the correlation between the wokeness and Wall Street because wokeness involves like people disagreeing about gender or transgender phobia.
