The Importance of Jazz in China

When Shanghai Shek and Song Ling got married, she invited Whitey Smith in his band to play at their wedding. They also played an Irving Berlin number and some other jazz numbers at the wedding. I don't think her husband really liked jazz very much, but I'm not sure. He doesn't look like a jazz fan to me, but it could be, but you never know, right?
