Is There a Difference Between Matplotlib and JavaScript?

Matplotlib, Seaborn and scikit plot are some of the popular ones. There's also bokeh and plotly on the JavaScript side. The three main branches here are GLOBAL, MATRIX and Altair. I don't have as much experience nor see as much development there with those libraries. But most people are gravitating towards either Matplotlib or the JavaScript ones that we've talked about.
