The Ghost of Hamlet
He identified himself with hamlet. And he knew the play. Indeed, he knew, i think, most of the works of shakespeare. He had with him in poland, in the mud and old and the horrors of that place,. because the austro hungarian army was only fractionally better off than the russians. So we had this volume of sh Shakespeare with him, my hav the volume. It a leather bound one with very fine print. Many years later, he wrote this essay, which was published in the year review in the 19 fifties. I don't like psychology much, but it's to me this asay speaks very, very clearly.
