The End of Informational Reading, Not Formational Reading
Robert Mahalin writes about a shift that most of us in the West, at least, need to go through. He says we read the Bible as apprentices of Jesus to be with him, to become like him and do what he would do if he were us. To have this happen in your soul or in mind, spiritual formation, it requires more than just the right technique. The goal of informational reading is to master the text; formational reading is about quality, not quantity.
