Xenophon and Clearchus
Xenophon admires the character of Clearchus. He says he likes to set the stage psychologically for basically everything that happens whenever you can get the chance. The king's messengers offer peace, but I think this is kind of an interesting scene. And they say basically the king offers to let them supply themselves in a nearby village or a series of villages and he won't interfere. And the Greeks accept.
