How to Be a Better Pastor

We use books more than many pastors do. Why? They make you slow down and give attention to something. So I remember when I started working at a youth group and a UCC church up in New England in 1982, I was told that these kids don't read. And I found that they could be brought to read and that it was hugely helpful for them. It was a way to help them understand their Bible and encourage them to spend more time reading their Bible.
