The Evolution of the Philosophy of Rousseau
In the mid-18th century philosophers wrote for their lives in every sense of that phrase. The only people who actually pay attention to our writings are fellow philosophers, and I think we've lost a great deal. That is why we're having this podcast. And so there he was. Europe's best known, most famous and most infamous philosopher living in this village. It enabled him to live out at least parts of what he insisted was, and says that what our lives ought to be.
