The Amygdala and OCD

There is a high likelihood that you'll have a child either with OCD or one of what we call the OCD spectrum disorders. The coty nucleus has been implicated in OCD in the basal ganglia. We're not sure exactly what it is about these brain parts, but there's something about those brain parts that are active in individuals with OCD.
