The difficulty of taking these claims seriously and then building colitions across lines of difference, which is actually just, like, very hard work. Yes, i think it depends on what use you're making of differences. You know, if the reason at pointing out differences is to cleave up the people who could otherwise potentially fit into a coalition together,. Then yet, i see that be a difficult basis for coalition politics. If we see identity politics is aiming at that kind of clarity, at what we should be trying to put together, not only would i not say that it's bad for coalitions, i would say, no, it's necessary have the kind of coalition worth having.
