The Energy Price Guarantee: The Government's Plan
The government plan is the price that virtually everybody in England, Scotland and Wales will pay is due to go up by 20% in April. I am now hopeful the energy price guarantee will not rise on the 1st of April. And there is a better than 50% chance that it will cancel that rise. If that happens, if we don't see any sudden spikes in wholesale prices, we'll see the energy prices then drop by about 10%. That will stay the rate for the end of the year.
