Transporting Heavy Objects by Boat and the Potential for Carbon Emission Reduction

This chapter explores the use of boats as a better alternative for transporting heavy objects that cannot be put on a truck. It highlights the extensive inland waterways in Europe and discusses a specific project in Lithuania that aims to revive cargo transport on the Nemunas River using electric vessels, resulting in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
