I've Never Heard of That in the ICU

Nurses are part of the room and board part of a hospital bill. Overworking nurses doesn't make you more money. Patients are more likely to have to stay longer in the hospital. Why would executives break the backs of employees whose job it is to help keep the customer alive? If we're just going base level, making money and health care, if people die, that is not good fiscally for business.
