The Chinese Property Rights Regime
I think that one of the things that's most important about this book is how your research maps on to our previous assumptions about property rights, rule of law, and economic growth. You're providing both a very careful description of this selective property rights regime. That I think the way you lay it out is that given all the other institutional constraints in China, in particular, this very uncertain regulatory environment, this kind of selectiveproperty rights regime could actually be a pretty good solution to uncertainty.
