The Fundamental Basis of Secularism Is Distinctly European
secularism as we understand it to day is very much a european phenomenon. It's not the same type of secularism, if you will, in the na same form as in the west. Islam hasn't fully given in, but a lot of the changes in them ustwod have been forced. But i do incline to the vew thati's more of a break than a continuation oke. I think it's important to pay attention to the historical particularities of any phenomenon.
