The Dead Donor Rule

In the U.S., there's something called the dead donor rule. It says that organ donation should not cause the death of the individual. There are two different ways somebody can become a deceased donor in the United States. They can either be a donor through brain death, which is where they are declared dead by neurologic criteria.
