Cigarettes are believed to have existed in most cities of mesopotamia. Whether they all date back to the early donastic period of sumeria is debatable. Most of these zigorats have not survived to the modern age, so it is very difficult to tell. But restoration projects were still being carried out as recently as first millennium b c e.
