The Importance of Non-Directive Approaches
A client should be looking for a psychotherapist who is going to safely or appropriately hold some kind of spiritual or religious element as part of the work. I think sometimes we mistake the best kind of therapists for the ethics of being a therapist. There are still legacy mentalities in our profession that reject that idea and philosophically approach from a different way.
