By the 19 sixties, basically everyone had a tv. And this electric picture box was like a direct pipe line into living rooms all across the country. Jones saw this as an opportunity. Could television teach and jones, at that very moment said, i don't know that i can, but i'd sure like to be the person who would try. That programme ends up becoming the model for what we now know as the national head start programme.
