Why Isn't Housing a More Prominent Thing in Our Politics?

A rule of thump is that you shouldn't be spending more than 30 % of your income on housing. But among young adults in the netherlands, they spend forty five per cent of their income on housing - and it's problematic. If you're spending all your money on rent, you can't spend that same money in local shops, for example. So i think low rents are very important to encourage this creativity and make our cities interesting where you can doso thing extraordinary.
