The Monetarist View on Bitcoin
There is a really deep conflict of visions in Bitcoin. It's basically the monetarist view of Bitcoin versus the more pluralistic non-monetrist view. People that wanted to use Bitcoin for other stuff have been marginalized or eventually found greener pastures elsewhere. So we are kind of stuck with this as far as I can tell.
