Astro Sites and Substance Use Disorders
An astro site's main role is to sort of see what's up. And also to help clean up. So the astro sites will go over to where neurons are releasing neurotransmitter, which is just like a chemical they used to communicate. Is it because it's sucking up all of the extra dopamine and serotonin that I need? And so I seek those things out through substances? Actually, the opposite, it's like some substances they get spit out are inhibitory, which means that they're keeping the neurons from firing.
