Introduction

Melissa aldana has been playing saxophone since she was six years old. Her father and grandfather were both jassacks, bone players in chile. She's happiest when she can practise for at least five hours a day. Neumeralogy and therapeutic terro inspired the songs on her new record 12 stars. It grapples with concepts of child rearing, familiar forgiveness, acceptance and self love.
